introduction
My name is Carrie Lowery, and I am in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Fall 2017 and will graduate Spring 2019. I graduated from the University of Mobile in 2004 with a BacheIor's degree in English/Language Arts. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching middle school language arts. In my first few years of teaching, I obtained my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Computer Education from the University of Phoenix.
I taught language arts for 8 years before becoming a technology coach in lower Alabama. Currently, I am a Technology Training/Integration Specialist for Cobb County. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Educational Specialist Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to continuing assisting other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
